Personally love 2do (unfortunately ios only, but does sync between ios devices) for task management. Set things to repeat on any interval, repeat when they're finished (repeat 7 days after you do it) or repeat on a set interval regardless of when it gets done (repeat every tuesday no matter what). You can also set things up in projects which I use like categories.

I've used this app to successfully cultivate cleaning and organizing habits that keep my place clean in just a small amount of time every day. Plus it makes jobs that need to happen every 6 weeks (or longer) much easier to remember!

This feels impractical from a cleaning standpoint. Even though there are plastic trays in the drawer, you're still likely to get makeup dust, hair, and more underneath. Every bathroom drawer could use a good wipe down from time to time. I suppose as long as you don't mind relabeling every cleaning, this would be fine, but it just seems like an extra hassle.

To quote from the Read More link: "A secret wine cellar sits behind this bank of custom cupboards in the home's original servant's staircase. "

I think the author made a mistake using the word "down" in the summary post here, and the "cellar" is actually a shelf sitting at a 90 degree angle from the new cabinets, which would put it right at the "top" of those stairs.

@Rexrayfan -- the HGTV page suggests you use a stud finder that also has a metal finder for wiring. If there were to be some pvp pipe, I'm not sure how you'd locate that. But at least vents or wiring would be found with the metal finder!

My mom, who was famous with the local cell company for breaking the antennas off her old school nokia bar phone, did probably the best "cell phone damage" I know of. She ran over it with her tractor.
There was no repairing that one.

The point of canning is that it makes stuff last for a very very long time. Just use REAL canned goods. (As long as it's properly canned, you can't just put stuff in the jars and screw the lid on)

As far as I know you can take in a digital copy on a thumb drive. I had business cards printed at staples and that's what I did.

You took this chair from "probably matches everything in the room and doesn't stand out at all" to "MOST AWESOME ITEM IN THE ROOM!"
I love it! I also would be curious for the cost of getting this reupholstered.

This post made me smile remembering the brightly colored parachutes from gym class in elementary school. Tomorrow I'm going to make my bed this way. (I make it by "traditional" means every morning)

The insides would be adorable decorated with some vintagey old furniture (as the child gets to the "wants to play house" or "have a clubhouse" ages)

These are adorable. They'd make cute garden sheds too!

Binder Clip Version

I just happened to have a binder clip and ipad with smart cover at my desk. It worked fantastic. The only thing I'd be a little worried about is the clip did leave a dent in the cover where it was attached, so if that bothers you, you may want to alter your binder clip a little. One seemed sufficient to hold it, at least in that angle.

Great suggestion, Chris!

I've also found that "loose" magnets, not attached to anything, are great for many items. Nail clippers, tweezers, loose bobby pins... There are many things that are magnetic already and will stick to a magnet that is stuck to the board.

I have done this for about a year -- DON'T DISCOUNT THIS IF YOU THINK THINGS WILL FALL!
I use the ikea SPONTAN magnet board. Super cheap and easy.

I hang everything but my toothpaste and hairbrush. If you use super strong magnets and hot glue, even though the contact between the magnet and a round tube, like mascara, may be small, the glue is strong enough to keep it there. Similar theory for my toothbrush. Simple "stick on" magnets have been sufficient for eyeshadow compacts and similar items.

For "jars" -- if it's pressed, hang it. If it's loose, I have a little basket that I hung on the wall below my board for these. I don't have a ton of them so it works well. It's the same place I store my brush and toothpaste. (Ikea has a little hanging bar with many types of baskets/holders you can hook on it. I just don't recall the name)
