FWIW, you can buy a reusable pod for the Keurig K-cup machines- they're about $10 bucks, and work great for your favorite coffee....

There's this one which uses a cartridge that swaps out with the normal holder: http://www.amazon.com/Keurig-K-Cup-Reusable-Coffee-Filter/dp/B000DLB2FI

And there's also this one, which has a little flap and can go into the normal holder directly: http://www.ekobrew.com/

I have one from Bodum that I love (http://www.amazon.com/Bodum-Chambord-5-Ounce-Milk-Frother/dp/B000QEEI5I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1359344235&sr=8-1&keywords=bodum+milk+frother). I fill to the line with 2% and microwave for a minute (while the k-cup is brewing!); works beautifully every time. :)

I'm with Adora- the point of those cardboard bottles surrounding the refill bag is lost on me. FWIW, you can buy Method cleaning products in refill bags (I've seen the hand soap and laundry detergent in this option) without the extra packaging...

One thing that always helps to wake me up in the morning is taking my dog for a walk- we take a loop up through the park and back (about 30 minutes) and when we get home, both of us are ready for some breakfast. :)

FWIW, I've been given to understand that the 'don't start eating everyone has been served' thing holds for dinner parties where you are expected to wait until the host/ess is seated and ready to eat (after serving everyone else, presumably), but *not* at some restaurants where the group's meals are not brought out all at once (rather poor table service, IMHO)... That said, unless I truly am ready to gnaw off my own arm, I agree that it's much more polite to wait for everyone to have their food before digging in!

This is the cover I've got; soft embossed leather outside, soft nappy suede inside. It doesn't fold up into a roll the way the Apple Smart Cover does (which I prefer anyway- more like a real book cover), but it's got the nifty magnetic strip on the outer edge to hold it shut and activate the auto-sleep functionality. Bonus: "Electric Library." :)

Lots of great ideas here- thanks for the post! I would ask that you reconsider the suggestion about putting a beloved pair of heels on the coffee table, though- don't do it unless they're *never* worn, or else it will just look like you forgot to put them away in the closet (and make the room smell less pleasant)... :P

I'll have to try this sometime! I usually just turn my oven on to the lowest setting while I'm making the dough; when it's ready to rise, I turn off the heat and pop the bowl into the warm oven. If you have your ingredients measured out before you start, the short amount of time to mix everything together isn't long enough for the oven to get very hot. I also drape a damp tea towel over the top of the bowl/pan to keep the dough from drying out...

OMG, I could make you a list that would take weeks just for Melbourne! Be sure to grab some flake & chips, lots of cappuccinos dusted with cocoa powder, and a fresh, hot waffle from the cart in DeGraves. If you hop the train out to Yarraville (just past the showgrounds), Bopha Devi has the best Cambodian food in town, and you can finish the evening with a choc top (chocolate dipped ice cream cone) and a movie at the Sun Theater! Pretty much any random cafe will give you a great brekkie (breakfast), but I always recommend getting one that comes with roasted tomatoes and sauteed mushrooms... :)

Side note: I wouldn't bother with pizza or Mexican restaurants in Melbourne. The pizzas always tasted like saltines with ketchup and ham, and speaking as a Southern California transplant, the Mexican seasonings were way off...

My other alternatives to throwing out a too-sweet flavored tea include bringing the box to share at work, and "cutting" it with plain black/green/white tea- just cut open the pouches and mix them in a jar. Often, that's enough to get a hint of flavor without the overkill.
