I would...if I had a couch! I do tend to sit on my bed and laptop it up, but it does a number on my back, can be disruptive to sleep patterns, etc. A couch is one of those things that I either can't afford or have been too lazy to rent a UHaul and get if I, say, found something on Craigslist. The cure's kind of a long, several-month process that addresses different home issues like flow, clutter, personal style, cleaning, etc. I'm finding it hard to sum up since there's a lot involved (not intimidatingly so, though) - it's seriously just better to find the book at your local Borders or something and flip through! I didn't really mind this piece or this issue at all. I'll deal with the superhero chic if that means no more Day In the Life columns or Muse Marian. I wonder if there was an overhaul? Apartment Therapy Chicago | Before After: Julianne Moore...DecoratorDomino 05.08 |

I dunno, I think this house is great in an aspirational way. But what I want to know is what the hell they do on the side besides run a little record label out of their house, to be able to afford rehabbing (and green rehabbing at that, which we can assume is a pretty penny) a 3-flat in a super-desirable neighborhood in the city! Agreed. Still pretty solid, but nothing really jumped out at me this month as much as others. It's probably because their palette seemed pretty subdued this time around. Nice to see Miranda July in there, though! Blogging Domino: 06.07 |

Those bedspreads and things always go on sale if you wait long enough - I recently paid $4.99 each for a black and white lace print bedspread, and a black, white, and yellow dotted pattern. Good for making curtains, shower curtains, or tablecloths, too. Extra 10% Off Sale Items at Urban Outfitters Online |

I lived by the Rubin's in Milwaukee when I was in college and constantly wandered the store in envy. Now I can do that here! Woohoo! Rubin's |

So much potential. The living room doesn't look quite yet warm to me - so much black and white and barely any textiles. Maybe a rug and some curtains? Then again, maybe the photos are deceiving me. #21 - Debbie's Baby Grand |

I admit I'm now a bit obsessed with this idea. I wonder how strong a color is cast if put in the way of a window? Blueprint had that great job-jackets-as-frames thing in the last issue, too. It's getting better by the issue, I think. Blueprint's Plastic Panel Idea : A Local Source |
