We've only just started (baby is 4 days old), but also found the glider/rocker situation completely frustrating -- either they are hideous or insanely expensive. We opted for the Ikea Karlstad Chair Ottoman (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70117761) instead -- not quite as glidey as rocker or cozy as a Lazyboy but a heck of a lot more attractive and way less expensive. We couldn't be happier with it -- very comfortable, makes visual 'sense' in our Living Room, and is a great place to sit while nursing or not. I always start with the dishes and kitchen. Once the dishes are done and the kitchen is clean, the rest just seems to follow suit (perhaps also b/c our apt. is so small that the kitchen is the first thing you see when you walk in). Sometimes, I put toilet bowl cleaner in the commode to force bathroom cleaning -- while it's working you almost have no excuse not to clean anything else. Looking forward to others' ideas.... My husband and I stayed at Cabanas Copal this past March -- was the most relaxing and pleasant vacation we've ever had. The no-electricity and nude beach put everything into perspective -- how can you stay tense with naked folks running around and no creature comforts? We're still daydreaming about the afternoon Coronas and fresh guac. at their lovely bar (pictured), overlooking the ocean. GO! Highly recommended. You could easily dye the Ikea slipcovers using ordinary RIT dye from the grocery/drug store. I did this (for the same chair!) and sent a fabric swatch that I was trying to match to the RIT company -- they mailed back a 'recipe' for a custom color using their dyes. So you don't have to settle for the basic colors on the shelf -- the possibilities are endless, inexpensive, and really simple (no sewing necessary!).
