Ok, I just have to share - yesterday I FOUND an Eames lounge chair in the bank parking lot next to the dumpster alongside other trash. It's probably a knock-off - I haven't been able to check yet as I found it, brought it home and left for the night. But I am so excited!! This is the extent of my budget these days so I feel very, very lucky. I haven't been able to stop thinking about how good it looks in my home - everything else in the home is recycled from flea markets, garage sales and found objects. When you're actually at their home, you can feel just how bold and creative and warm and original the house really is, just like the family who lives there. And each space feels like an oasis unto itself, with surprises such as the over-sized farm-house sink (or is it a tub?) in the middle of the kitchen. The canvas of the home is a great blend with the openness to the outdoors, the beautiful views, and the colorful, artistic and bright people they fill their home with.
