Waterfall because of cleanliness. The underhand method allows the toilet paper to rub against the wall or whatever the holder is mounted on.

great furnishings, great art, great taste. House tours like this are why I subcribe to Apartment Therapy. So nice!
All the time and effort they spent shopping and putting it all together shows.

I cannot understand why so many AT readers are pre-disposed to criticize homes whose owners have a generous budget, who do not knit their own artwork or find their furniture on the street, or who do not consider clutter to be "warm and homey." This site is called Apartment Therapy, not Apartments of the Destitute or Apartment Craftsy. Please, AT, keep showing us homes like this that we can aspire to. I don't know about the critics, but as soon as I win the Lottery, I am going to buy myself some high end furniture. I will not apologize to those who fault me for surrounding myself with things that I can afford rather than keeping it cheap so that the financially challenged, snarky readers can continue to pretend that their homes are superior to those who can and do afford nicer things. Until I win the megabucks, I'm going to continue to get my inspiration from the nicer homes rather. And do they really think that a messy, unkempt home is more attractive than a neat, organized, camera ready residence?

Let us know when they come to the U.S. I could definitely use a few of those pieces even though my home is very, very small. It's a great, simple look that would complement any number of decors. And it doesn't look like the furniture found in every one else's living room. If it is priced right,
I'd agree that it's the shit.

I think the place looks great. I especially like the use of the chrome bookshelves. As for the person who asked about the $65 cost, I ask, why does it matter? It drives me crazy that
readers get so caught up with details that are beside the point.
Same with the "no kids" comment. FYI: There are plenty of people out there who have children and live in attractive, neat homes.

Blueprint has many reasonably priced pieces and accessories.
You can easily use your $500 there.
And why is it that AT readers always feel compelled to complain if a venue is expensive or if a contributor buys from places other than IKEA and yard sales? Not everyone lives hand to mouth and wants to buy particleboard furniture. And there are also some with a modest income, myself included, who enjoy going to upper end stores for ideas and inspiration. I, personally, would rather do without than fill my space with poor quality furniture and someone else's cast-offs.

Maybe if there would be less arguments if competent salespeople were available to answer questions. The last time I drove 1 1/2 hours to my closest Ikea, I could not fine anyone to help me in the kitchen section, making my visit a complete
waste of time. On top of that, the store is a maze, and it took me forever to find my way to the check-out/exit. Bad store design and non-existent customer service definitely make for frayed nerves, something cheap meatballs can't make up for.
