What I like about this apartment is that it is a clearly masculine space but it is much more inspired than the typical "bachelor pad." I think he accomplishes this without it looking like he's trying too hard. Apartment Therapy New York | House Tour: Michael's Mid-Century NestNew York |

I really love the Bare Escentuals makeups. They are natural and not tested on animals. I have been wearing their products for years. It's made a big difference in the look of my skin too, for the better. No sticky traps, for the love of Pete. They are horrid and cruel. If you can find a snap trap inside a little black house, that's the best. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Good Questions: Humane Way to Get Rid of Mice? |

I use the Multi-cat version of Schweat Scoop with some Nature's miracle litter treatment. It clumps very well and smells fine (for a little box). Apartment Therapy Chicago | Tidy Cats Litter for Small Spaces |

There are only a few items I give a crap about. I just moved and I used the opportunity to get rid of at least a third of the junk I was hoarding. It was pretty liberating. Apartment Therapy New York | Survey: Are You Irrationally Attached to Your Stuff? The Economist, 6.9.08 |

I choose not to shop at Wal-Mart because they don't pay their employees a living wage. I don't like my tax dollars paying for the public assistance that employees qualify for. A cute desk certainly won't change my mind about that. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Look!: Our New Desk |

I use Chico Bags and Baggu bags. If I don't use really small ones that fit into my purse, then I forget to take them with me! I use the bags Wegmans sells when I go grocery shopping. I just keep them in my car. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Good Questions: Good Reusable Grocery Bags? |

Motel 6 should rebrand it "M6" (or something like that) and start marketing towards twenty-somethings with a little bit of disposable income. They really need to shake off the skeezy roadside motel image and become the place to stay for people who are too old for hostels and too poor for fancy boutique hotels.
