yeah, except Indianapolis is a dome and you won't be sitting in the rain. Or drinking "watered" down beer. I've also heard bathrooms are quite plentiful, since the stadium was built in 2008, although I'm not from Indy. Apparently AptTherapy staffers aren't football fans.... My problem is almost the opposite. I can build furniture of the non-upholstered kind (think bookcases, cabinets, frames, etc.) but my job gets so backed up that I don't have the time. See Ya Later Ikea: Out with the New & In with the Old |

If any of you has stripped furniture before, you know what a huge pain-in-the-behind it is to strip the detailed pieces like those upper chair backs. I can't tell if they're carved or raised designs, but that would take a ton of time. Heck, I've even cursed simple detailing like those grooves in the table apron and legs. I used pvc for a curtain rod, and I needed to strengthen it by putting a wooden dowel inside the rod. It's still not great. I used electrical conduit to build a drying rack for wet clothes, and that works awesome. About 10 years ago, when copper was cheap, I built stuff out of that too. I got several free samples of soapstone before I had it installed. I poured little puddles of bleach, ammonia (not on the same stone), red wine, lemon juice and left half a tomato sitting on one. For 24 hours. Whoever says that soapstone will stain, I'd like to know what can stain it. Ultimate Guide to Choosing Countertops: Pros & Cons |

Yep. I bought a house, not even an extravagent one, when I thought I was getting married and would be starting a family 10 years ago. He bailed. I have house. Things simply become INVISIBLE. You can take the doors off the upper cabs, and SAFELY store them. That would give you some space to personalize. Paint, I agree with. You can even paint a "fake" backsplash with glossy or enamel paint so it's a little washable. And I know they're called dust magents, but put something on top of the upper cabs. Not flowers, but maybe some ceramics. Just to draw the eye upwards. Long thin boxes for storage? Or something disposable and seasonal. How To Inexpensively Update Kitchen? Good Questions |

Ihave a normal sized house (for the Midwest, anyway) but even the master bedroom could not fit a king sized bed. Sometimes I hate those "small space" articles. It seems like my normal house qualifies for small spaces based solely on the room sizes!! It seems crazy, but my laundry space is not living space! Neither is the hallway! But then I feel bad, because I shouldn't be a "small" space.... sigh Can You Have Big Furniture in a Small Space? |
