I found a credenza with a non-salvagable top. Some water stains and gouges are just too significant to remedy. I went to a veneer store and got a piece of teak veneer. The one I bought came pre-glued so all I had to do was make a pattern. Once cut out with a razor blade I stuck it on as you would contact paper. Once I sanded the piece and stained and oiled it you really could not tell that it was a new top. Be warned you need to hand sand the edges after it is glued on. The white looks nice and marble would be great for setting drinks on. Before & After: Refinishing an MCM DresserThe Weathered Door |

Thank-you so much for this recipe. I am always looking for pickled ginger without aspartane or white sugar- has been impossible to find. Greatly appreciated! DIY Pickled Ginger from Eric Gower |

To me AT is about deeply caring about making a safe and beautiful place in the world called home. Some have unlimited funds and can buy jaw-dropping possessions and others must rely on serendipity to furnish their homes but, all are home. I visit this site to be inspired. Not just by what others have acquired but by the vibrant lives others are living. Tolly has created a lovely space for many friends and interests. I applaud her and her home.
