You might want to think about an L-shaped couch or similar couch with integral chaise. Add a pair of light sidechairs for additional guests. Float the couch in the middle of the room with the backs facing the Kitchen island and the Bedroom door. Place the TV against the long wall across from the Bedroom door like others have said. Place the long side of your existing desk along the back of the couch across from the Bedroom door and the short end facing the windows. I'd prefer a different long desk instead of the L shape but if its something you already have and *need* then that's my best solution. Optimum Arrangement for TV Watching in New Home? What's the story with the Klipsch setup? I have the Promedia 2.1 which I absolutely love you've got a much bigger sub and a control unit. Is this a 5.1 system that you're using as a 2.1? Apartment Therapy Unplugged | Final Frame Dave's Before After |

I guess this post has digressed from discussing the late 2009 iMacs to discussing the attraction unpluggd has with choosing to feature Apple centered products/solutions. How a bout a reality check people, how many readers have an iPod, an iPhone, or Apple computer? I'm guessing a pretty significant majority. I'm sure they're using some analytics as to what OS their readers are sporting. Let's see a poll as to who's angry about seeing Apple products. I'll be moving in two weeks and my wife and I will be trying to reduce as much as we can to make the trip a bit easier. That means books and magazines we don't look at anymore are going to the local thrift store. We have lots of papers and receipts tucked away that we'll need to sort through as well. We have a two room apartment where we live now but we never really go into that room, its a storage haven. We have a pull-out love seat for when guests come and we'll be keeping that and trying to find a one bedroom with enough room for a desk at our next place. I've thought about the AppleTV but a MacMini with a TV tuner would be much more of what I'd really want. If there were any decent cases for the itx platform I would have built a homebrew home media server/PVR. Apartment Therapy Unplugged | Apple's Slow Path Towards the Ultimate Home Media Server |

My wife and I are in the same process. I looked into the all in one cordless phones which have integrated Skype (no computer needed), but their cost and technical issues made me think twice. I really wanted something that didn't require tethering to a computer. Has anyone had any luck with bluetooth dongles and headsets or the Callpod Drone/Dragon combination? Great looking space, although I think some variety in the bathroom finishes would have make it feel warmer. As for the cantilevered stairs, I also wonder how you're getting past code requirements. Apartment Therapy New York | House Call: Kimberly's Renovated Loft New York |

I've always liked light blues and light greens with Chocolate but that might make your kitchen feel dark and claustrophobic. Perhaps you could paint the walls white and have chocolate window drapes/floor rugs. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Good Questions: Wall Color for Our Kitchen? |

In the interest of the safety of the members of AT and yourself, I would strongly recommend not painting the brick, beams, and floor. Perhaps a move is in order instead; preferably to a place that doesn't already encompass a great balance of tones and texture?
