We recently purchased a quarter of a cow (grass-fed) and I'm making Greek meatballs (with feta, parsley, oregano, roasted red peppers), orzo and cucumber raita for dinner tonight. This is one of our favorite meals that has been in our dinner rotation for years. I also bought ingredients to make guacamole this weekend (yum).

On a side note, you can use them around the house to deter spiders.

Paumes seems to have a common thread running through many of their books: white walls with extremely bright accent colors peppered with oodles of wacky knick-knackery.

I picked up a humongous bunch of rose hips today from Whole Foods - they are the perfect orange-red color for fall. Going to put them in something right now. Loved today's video, Maxwell!

Day 2: Buy Fresh Flowers
The 20/20 Home Cure

I like the video! I completed today's room, but it took two hours instead of 20 minutes because I chose the kitchen. I took everything off of the open shelves and wiped those down. I cleared off the top of the fridge and wiped that down, too. I deep cleaned the ceramic stove top, window sills, base boards, counter tops and appliance fronts. I even wiped down my light fixtures! I can't believe how kitchen grease mixed with dust accumulates!

I'm pretty happy with the results and am really going to try to stick to the 20 minutes tomorrow so I don't get burned out. I've started the Cures in the past and have never finished them because I get overwhelmed.

I associate UO with not-so-great quality, so the fact that they are going to offer these classic blankets brings them down a notch in my mind. I have a couple of the Pendleton camp blankets which I love, but the fact that UO is selling them is a turn-off.

My grandmother had a pair of these exact chairs. She bought them from Hudson's Dept. Store the year her house was built, in 1964. Don't know the brand, though.
