These would be better if painted a pretty color that matches the bathroom decor. I may even go so far as to staple aluminum foil onto the inside wall of the basket. Then whatever color I painted the mesh, it would look nice against the silver backing and completely hide the hair tools. Do you plan on putting a seat below the window(s)? If not, I think a great way to maintain the windows' functionality and crooked charm would be to put ONE curtain rod across all the windows and hang two floor length curtains on the rod. When the curtains are closed the window will not look like a bay window, but rather a flat window. When they are open you will have a great view framed by pretty curtains.
