I had to go call my mom as soon as I saw this!
I miss her little notes and doodles so bad right now.

I did this when I was a sophomore in high school after I got a little extra credit with my art teacher for cleaning out some of the old cabinets and found an old box FULL of slides of pictures of paintings.
I made different lengths of "ribbons" of slides and put them on the bedroom window that I refused to put curtains on.

I really don't remember what my mom used to pack for lunch. Usually fruit, a sandwich, juicebox; something pretty basic like that. I was really picky though if my sandwiches got crushed, I wouldn't eat them. But my favorite part was that she always packed me a napkin with a little note or drawing on it.
I decided that the notes were embarrassing though when I got older and packed my own lunch, pretty much the same as my mom would pack, but less variety.

Really off subject here, but I love the marble threshold on the floor here.

Side note for suggestion #2- pesto is awesome on a grilled cheese sandwich.

I always make mine with mustard (a sweet hot mustard is ideal,) but it always seperates anyway. When it seperates in the fridge, my top layer (fats) solidifies and that drives me crazy.

Why does that "nickel" in the combustion engine picture look like a penny painted silver?

My photograpy teacher gave me and another student the task of cleaning out an old storage closet and we found a shoebox-sized box of slides that I took home and made window treatments out of. Unfortunately I've moved out of my parents house since then and when my little sister took over the room she took them down, so I don't have any pictures.

I was just curious about the liquid you pour off, I know with methods like vermiculture that liquid is precious, so why with fermentation is it poured down the drain?
