With a serious illness in the family, this could very well be the "last" Christmas. That's a lot to live up to....

The bookcase in #1 makes me feel a little seasick. The rest is lovely though.

I had a Mikael desk, and hated it with a passion. I always need room to spread out with my keyboard, Waycom tablet, color fan deck, and at least a book or two at all times. The Mikael afforded none of that. I've got a corner desk now, but find that the wasted space behind my computer monitor very frustrating.

I'd rather see the clothes pins disassembled, both halves glued down without the spring.

My Bernina 180 sewing machine is named Stevie Ray because when he boots up he sounds just like the first couple notes of Little Wing. Bet you can't guess what my Featherweight Singer sewing machine is named. ;-)

Me, I'm probably a "1" when I make art, a 3 in what I wear, and a 2 in my decorating.

Found a 15 gallon cracked crock at a garage sale years ago. So when I wanted to plant an heirloom tomato in it this year, I didn't feel bad about adding a drainage hole. We'll see what tomatoes I get; there are several blossoms at the moment.

Kudos to you for reupholstering rather than throwing out. If that were my chair I'd have done something more period authentic, maybe a nice tropical barkcloth. So what happened to Andy the cat?

Too cluttered and crowded. One of my pet hates, decorating-wise, is walls lined with piece after piece of furniture.

That seems like a lot of bother to me. Why is the poster even necessary?

On the other hand, Chris 2010 US winner of Small Cool, has a projection set up that I think is really brilliant. The screen serves as room divider as well, and the video is viewable from two rooms!

This is a gorgeous place. I particularly love the wall treatments in the parlor, but there's not really anything that I can't love except of all those infusers in the living room, below the Egyptian charioteer! My nose burns just looking at 'em all lined up like that.

I like the leather wrapped lever a lot too.

A door knob first has to be comfortable in the hand. And then it has to be not too painful if you run into it. That hand-le thing fails on at least the second count.

I think that the palettes aren't very strong for the interiors applications. They're OK for garments, but not something I'd want to face in my living room every day. I wonder if part of the assignment was to use purple? Only the acacia colorway came near suiting both applications.
