I am also puzzled by the fixation on the toilet roll art. And as far as removing the 1910 qualities of the bathroom, A dinky pedestal sink is not functional for a modern day family. The home should serve the family, not the other way around. Great and very resourceful job!

I agree with the above posters. Do not highlight the storm door. Almond is a horrible color for anything! Definitely edit the benches and planter boxes. Way too heavy. Add some color by painting the bench something that isn't so neutral and bring in some vibrant shades of green into the landscaping - shade of chartreuse!

The best thing would be to take it to a local frame shop for restoration. If you want to try to fix it yourself, I would apply diluted peroxide or diluted bleach with qtips to lighten the water stains. You could try to mimic the water damage on a similar paper and test different methods of removal if you are unsure.

I recently started following this site daily, and I think I've already had my fill of the commentary. I thought the idea of viewing other people's homes was to possibly find inspiration or appreciate a new way of looking at things and how others live. All I see are a bunch of wannabe critics/designers painfully picking apart someone elses design sense. If it's not for you, move on. Open forum or not, nobody cares about your nasty critique but you.
