I'm sorry I don't have the answer to your question but it is so refreshing to read, especially since I'm in the process of trying to make my apt in NY into a "home". I've been at my place for about 3 years and still feel like I have so far to go. I do not plan to move anytime soon with the cost of living so this helps put things into perspective. Thank you :)

I also love the pink backsplash and I'd totally embrace it. I like the idea of grey tiles since grey works so well with pink or if you're feeling a bit more daring, i'd consider black and white tiles and make it whimsical... what a fun kitchen! :)

This would totally depend on the type of feel you want the room to have.

I'd personally pick a shade of blue as well. I think it would make the room feel fresh and airy but again, this will not go over well with your carpeting.

If you'd like the room have a warmer feel, I'd go with a sandy color wall with red/ blue curtains. Some small accents in turquoise/blue and red here and there will make it interesting :) Good luck!

Congrats! Your space is beautiful.

You have a great neutral space to work with. It seems that the accessories are all that are needed to take this room to the next level. In my opinion, the artwork above the sofa and the rest of the room are clashing.

Since your walls and sofa are a neutral color I'd brighten up the space with throw pillows and accesories in colors pulled from the art above your sofa. You have a great palette to work with. The yellows, teals and oranges would look gorgeous in small accent pieces throughout the room.

If you'd like to keep the room neutral, I'd change the artwork above the sofa. Something like this may work. Good Luck!

I personally love it but would never hang it in my child's room even if he/ she loved it. That being said, my 10 yr old daughter loves everything creepy yet I doubt she would want that hanging in her room. Most children I know like the creepy stuff in moderation. If you love it, hang it somewhere else in the house where you can appreciate it.
