Small isn't bad as long as there's lots of light. As a designer it keeps me busy thinking of new ways to make the most out of my 230sqft sleep loft apartment in Murray Hill. Yes, it is so true about cheap rent. How cheap...? Guess. FYI, of course this isn't considered cheap outside of Manhattan. It's so true, I spend more time outdoors and I love it. One other thing they didn't mention, it's so much easier to cool in the summer.

Oh, not to mention I can actually accommodate 2-3 overnight guests from time to time. 2 up top, 1-2 at the sofa bed.

I like the very personal style and how you managed to turn that small space into a decent closet.

I'll have to apologize for my skepticism. I have an eye for apartment sizes and I'm definitely sure that it's not 200 square feet. 200 sqft is the living room space in the picture above. That's how small my entire studio is now too. Judging from the pictures, plus the kitchen and toilet, that apartment is around 380-400sqft, not even counting the sleeping loft area. Loft area I would guess is around 90-100.

Despite the difference in opinion in terms of square footage, I would say thumbs up for the color scheme and effective use of space. Very nice apartment.
