That turned out great! It really utilizes the space and enlarges the feeling of the home. I'm in a pretty small mid century home too and one can't underestimate the importance of outdoor space. Overreact much? That place is FINE. Like most of the posters on here you can add a few new pieces to the dated pieces for a nice look that looks like it was collected over time and has more character. I don't know if you're looking to have everything all new or what. Just because something is old, doesn't mean it is bad. Maybe you have the budget to redo everything, in that case go ahead and spend your money. Otherwise it is a bit wasteful to just replace stuff because something is a little old. I finally hung up my thermal blackout curtains, it helps keep the cold out since my bed is right by the window. I love my portable radiant heater.
