My favorite is the Korean dish, bibimbap. Especially in the winter, is a a flavorful warm comfort dish. Most of my dishes are rice 'casseroles' of sorts. Bibimbap, jambalaya, chicken fried rice, etc. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Thursday Giveaway: Ten by Sheila Lukins |

Seared sea scallops with grilled onion and zucchini would be a good, quick dish on one of these! Drizzle a little lemon juice over it when done. Mmmmmm. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Thursday Giveaway: Lodge Pro Logic Square Grill Pan |

There is a small Japanese sushi place near my father's house in Joliet, Edo Sushi. My wife simply rates their teriyaki as THE best. A trip to Edo is mandatory if we get anywhere near the South side of Chicago or Joliet. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Survey: What Restaurant Meals Have You Re-created at Home? |

I have some nice buffalo steaks fresh from a local farm that I am sure would not mind a poke or two with a meat thermometer. Top it off with some foil-wrapped onions and portobellos. Hmmmm. Second thought, I am not sure I can wait on a thermometer... ;) Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Thursday Giveaway: Instant-Read Meat Thermometer from The Beef Checkoff |

I have been experimenting with grilling vegetables. So far, my repertoire has been limited to zucchini and asparagus, either wrapped in foil or directly on the grate. I have heard of grilled corn, but have not made the leap. Any other veggies that might be good to grill? Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Thursday Giveaway: Grill Every Day |
