Box of Joe from Dunkin Donuts! That's what I use when my book club descends. Leftovers make great iced coffee, too. I "have" to go to Target today to pick up a prescription. Since the pharmacy will ring up all your other items as well, it's very tempting to get some nail polish, at the least. I hate the regular checkout line. At Xmas I found out that you can also checkout at the jewelry counter if you just have a few items. But the pharmacy checkout is the best! Who's outsmarted now?!? Two thoughts. Keep a supply of small objects within arms reach of chairs or sofas. Toss them for Kitty without having to get up. Anything works, from paper clips to paper balls, to truckloads of fur mice. Also, check out the Tidy Cats Breeze system. Costs some $ to set up, but no more scooping of urine, as it passes through pellets into absorbent pad. Poop stays on top, easy to scoop. Any pellets that escape the box are easy to spot and clean up. Virtually no tracking. Or odor. Scratching ... I will have to think about that for a while! Cat-Friendly Decorating Ideas?
