Full length opulent curtains that pool at the bottom of the floor. I like the idea of grey, but make it light, maybe almost a bluish grey. the over-the-door hanger needs to go in the free pile--every time you look at primary colors you'll be in a flashback. Those closet doors could be quite adult. Also, if you do frame the posters make sure the frames are ornate and all the same color. Sorry, but modern frames on posters are very teen in my mind. I registered so I could post. Honestly, I say hi to my neighbors but that's it. I have been too naive and nice in the past and realized too late that I was trapped by overly zealous neighbors eager to rope me into TMI conversations or worse, start asking unrealistic favors ("could you let my cat into my apartment when you hear him whine day or night?".) It could be that by seeming TOO friendly your neighbors see you as being THAT neighbor who will trap them or become way too personal way too fast. Sometimes being nice can backfire and lead to some really bad boundary crossing and make you wish you had just been polite, not uber nice. If they don't make noise or have sketchy habits stick to a smile and save friendly gestures for friends. How Friendly Are Your Neighbors? What Do You Do If It's "Not At All"? |
