My gardens are bursting with worms. Haven't had an issue with slugs. Who knew the two may be connected? Cool stuff.

How do they compare to the 0.79 Tekla towel at IKEA? I use them for a lot of stuff in the kitchen.

Trying to strip an entire bannister - rails & spindles - in one go. It was latex over 3 coats of oil paint, and it did not take me one weekend like I thought it would. That thing took me and my mom a couple weeks to get down to bare wood.

Meat bones or a big wedge of watermelon with the rind still on - wouldn't be caught dead eating in public, but will happily get all over my face in private.

Try a product called "Deer Out". It has saved my Central NJ hostas from being a salad bar for the marauding munchers. I went from having leafless stalks one year to beautiful leaves the next. You don't need to reapply after a rain because it's got gum arabic in it and it sticks to the plants a lot longer than other products, and it smells minty fresh... unless you're using last year's old stuff which then smells a bit stinky for a day (not as bad as some of the things I've used). I'm going to spray some diluted Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap around to cover that smell until I get started on my new bottle of Deer Out concentrate.

I do not work for Deer Out, I am just a pleased customer that wishes to help others.

Boy, does that bring back memories. I had the Sesame Street set, also the 1970's schoolhouse set.

Other beloved FP toys from that era were the record player, phone, and the popping lawnmower thing. They still make these, but the quality is not the same.

I've mostly graduated to an actual garden, but there are a few things I still grow in pots or other containers.

Mint & Chives: because they'll spread invasively if given half a chance.

Potatoes - my potato bag worked better than burying them in the ground.

Tomato - I picked up a patio tomato plant (determinate variety that only grows to a certain height) that was already blossoming so I can get a jump start on tomatoes while I wait for my indeterminates to produce. I put that in a big pot with a cage in a sunny location.

My ironing board lives behind my bedroom door, the iron is on the shelf in the closet nearby. I managed to find a spot between my back door and basement door where I could hang my low-profile mops and brooms, but I still can't find a good place for my canister vacuum. I'd have to take too many shelves out of the hall closet where I keep all of my other cleaning products to store the vacuum there. When I re-do my kitchen, I will make sure that there is a cabinet for the vacuum.

Storm doors are a New Jersey thing too. I find mine necessary because with it I can keep the front door open for ventilation and keep out the army of bugs that would otherwise plague me.
