I don't know if you read these comments, but you can achieve the look you want slowly. Replace the window treatments with metal beaded curtains or something metallic and less cloth. I love the eat sign, but do remove some of the chatskies. Use a small round table made up of brown bricks with a glass top to tie in your current sofa. On the shelf by the window replace the items with a few glass and metal like items. Keep them simple and minimum. Use basic shapes. Lastly, place a simple mat on the floor and use leather baskets or boxes to hide the entertainment equipment.
