I have to agree with the folks who are saying that a weird curtain in the middle of a door looks just as bad as a tv in front of the door, if not worse. Really odd looking.

I think the boxes are a bit too obtrusive like this. A good starting point though- better than the cord tangle.

For some reason my husband and I argue about this every time we have something new that needs to be plugged it. Cords everywhere do not bother him at all, and they make me completely mental. We do have the Belkin strip mentioned above for our living room electronics, and I love it! There is a fair amount of room to tuck extra cord length in there, and everything is nicely covered.

Everytime that books in the fireplace picture shows up here, I want to never read AT again. I hate the books in the fireplace so much! I think I audibly groaned when I just caught a glipse of it again in my feed reader.
It's not just the books *in* the fireplace, it's the way they are crammed in there. *Maybe* if some shelves were built it...

I got a sample of this in the sample tiles I received last week. It seems quite nice. More subdued almost than I would have have envisioned. It wasn't as plush as I am going for, so it is not the one I decided on, but other than that I would recommend it based on the sample.

I sort of like the "house" bit, and the stripes, but not the door.
The door is horrible.

:D I love you Seaside.

My two cents were to only add to what other people have said, and be sure there is not direct sun beating in where ever you decide to hang them if you do. My hubby has most of his in floor stands lined along a wall in his office, so I'm no help really on displaying them. I think they would look great on a wall, but there is a sloped ceiling in there unfortunately.

These bags look great (love that they are lined, have a zipper, and have so many pockets), but this contest is confusing. Supposedly the form is fixed now, but it asks you to pick one bag, while the post says you win all 3.

That gummi light is very cute, but I am a Gamma-Go fan, and I'm all for self watering, so this was a tough vote.
If I have to pick one favorite color I would say its purple.

Crate and Barrel has a similar but simpler style.

I almost like it, but the way the stripes are so much bolder and the skulls don't line up ruins it for me. Plus I have no idea where I would put it... although a runner version of it might be cute in the hall for a Halloween party.

I would hate to have to dust the stuff up there if it was just display items, so I like the idea of paint/fabric/paper/lightening in there instead.

I have the side table shown here (as a nightstand in my guest room), and I have to warn you that it is sort of a get-what-you-pay-for item. Looks great from afar, but upclose you notice that the mirrors aren't glued on straight. And they don't fit squarely around the legs. It wasn't quite bad enough to return it, but I was close to doing so.

Interesting in theory, but it really just leaves you thinking "why do you have upside down bowls on the floor? what is under them?" Looks too odd.

I would block a door if I had to, but I don't like this example at all. It would really, really bug me everytime I saw it. I think its the tall vertical opening and the low horizontal shelves. I once lived in an apartment with a permanently blocked doorway in the kitchen, so its not the blocked door itself that bothers me, but this execution.

I've been told I am a fabulous gift-wrapper already, but I would still give this stuff a try. My fear though, is that I would get dust or hair or something stuck to the inside of the paper that I wouldn't be able to get off, and have to grab a new piece. I do think it looks interesting though, and might give it a try someday.

Everyone has designers, styles, colors, etc they like, so I don't see what the big deal is. If you have 10 dining room chairs and 4 kitchen chairs, thats already 14. I can see how it would add up. Of course its hard to say without seeing it, but it might not be that bad.
And even if you have 19 individual of something- is it not okay to be a collector? At least they are useful and not 19 globes or 19 old keys, no? I feel like we all say that you should have in your house what makes you happy, but if its all Eames chairs we don't mean it.

I never paid attention to it before, but I have the perfect spot for it now that they don't carry it anymore. :(

I'm not feeling that Levenger one, and its a bit tall. Hope there are more suggestions out there.
