I absolutely love your home! Do you know where I might find the silver round table that sits next to your sofa?

I'd love to find those white blinds as well.

I have two cats and if you think they'd sleep anywhere but on my bed with me, you're dreaming! My old Siamese slept with her head resting on my pillow or against the side of my face and I still miss her. I'm also a pet sitter and two of the dogs I've taken care of have also joined "us" on the bed.

I was very allergic to cats and dogs as a child. Thank goodness I've outgrown my allergies because I'd never give up sleeping with my four legged kids!

Household Cleaning Urban Myths: Do They Actually Work?

I wash my good jeans inside out in cold water and hang them to dry. I toss them in the dryer for a few minutes to remove any wrinkles. It helps keep the "stretch" from wearing out. As a woman, I can't imagine not washing my jeans. I would think that exercise and daily wear would create odor issues on the cleanest of women. No freezer for my jeans!

I add lemon juice to the water when I clean the microwave. Vinegar also works.

I've used nail polish remover to remove stickers before. Works great on glass surfaces.

I love Paris. This is just another reason for me to go this year. It's been too long! Where can we find those great heaters in the states?

Oh dear, as "Doobie" said,

The top picture is my "tidy."

Does anyone know a good professional organizer in San Francisco?

Steve & Jeremy, thank you so much for sharing your home and your fur kids with us. It's amazing that you were able to create such a great place in 8 short months. I really appreciated seeing the before & after shots. Love the changes that you made, especially that gorgeous fireplace (I'm envious of anyone with a fireplace) and the lighter granite in the kitchen.

I love all of your lighting choices, including your use of candles. Your guest bedroom is very welcoming. It's nice to see people put so much thought into where friends and family will stay. I can easily imagine your home filled with laughter and friends for many years to come.

I'm working on redecorating my little one bedroom rental and it's homes like yours that are such a great inspiration. Maybe I can take my little wooden wine rack and top it off with something special to give it new life!

If anyone happens to see this post.... I'm wondering where the best place is to find a white slipcovered high end sofa now that Rachel Ashwell's store is closed.

It would be great if it was in San Francisco so I could actually take it for a test drive. Thanks!

I'm very pleased to find this site! I do see some affordable posters that just might work for me. But, I'm currently trying to save for a limited edition print by one of my favorite painters but, I'll keep this on file.

P.S. Sorry, I just realized that you posted that the shower curtain came from Bed Bath & Beyond! You read my mind. Of course, the tile in my bathroom is an ugly muddy pinkish brown. But, maybe this would make me forget about that fact ;)

Love your Corgi, love the bedroom lamps, love those fun ceiling tiles! I also really like your shower curtain. Would you mind sharing where you found it?

I'd love to have such a nice apartment and in D.C. no less. I'm about to start redecorating my own little rental apartment. I've decided not to do it until I clear out all of the "stuff" that is standing in my way first and that part is the least enjoyable ;)

Thanks for sharing your new home with us.

Why oh, why do I come here late at night?! I've been looking for a perfect radio for my kitchen but, it must have a doc for my iPod and itouch and future iPhone. Then, I'll need another in my bedroom. An alarm clock, that's the key. Love, love, love the look of this... so, if I oculd wake up to Jon Hamm in my bed and this radio on my night table, I'd know I was either dreaming or I'd died and gone to heaven!

My Mom has collected art for years and her home sometimes looks a bit like an art gallery. But, I love having art that speaks to you and reflects where you've been and your personality.

It's great that you were able to do all of this on your own. I also rent and have lived with the same decor for far too long. My landlord has finally given me permission to paint and I want to turn my little place into something that reflects who I am. It's worth spending the time on your home, no matter how long you live there. Great job!

I can't imagine going to dinner without bringing a hostess gift. If it's generational, then it's something that the younger generation can learn to do. A bottle of wine or champagne or some simple flowers in a vase are always appreciated. I'm bringing a sweet potato dish tomorrow but, I'm also taking a bottle of champagne. BTW, don't forget to send a thank you note to the host and, I don't mean an email ;) Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

What a charming and colorful apartment! It makes me feel good just to look at your photos.

Love the pink walls and black and white chairs off the kitchen and your bedroom is just fun.

I'm looking for a bar cart just like that one. If you'd like to share where you found it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
