I love the pendant light in the kitchen and the family portrait. Do you mind sharing the artist??

Thinking outside the box, take the remaining leg off, reupholster it, and it's a fancy dog bed. (Have you seen what they charge for those??)

Just some ideas off the top of my head. 1. Ditch the "country" theme. 2. Paint the kitchen walls and LR walls the same color white. 3. Paint the bottom cabinets a dark neutral gray, the top cabinets a lighter gray (maybe one or two shades up the paint strip). 4. Simple, new cabinet hardware.

Now you'd have a simple, neutral, gray/ white / tan (from the flooring and cabinets) color basis to work with. It would also flow nicely with your blue-gray (?) rug. Another brightly colored floor rug that pulls in your accent colors (red? teal? yellow?) in the living room would pull it all together.

Last meal for me? Probably a perfect, meaty crabcake or two, crispy seasoned fries, ripe canteloupe and a brownie sundae with pecan praline ice cream on top.

I loved and hated this episode. I got mad when Tom said something to Carla about "wow, generally the peas aren't good this time of year." She lucked out, but if she hadn't? If she hadn't found peas, was she allowed to substitute? Simple dishes require excellent ingredients, and there didn't seem to be a lot of guidance about the contestants' flexibility. Also... what if there wasn't SQUAB at whole foods?

It is so funny you posted this. I was just telling my husband last week that if we could, I would send my 2.5 yo to "Potty training camp." I am so sick of talking up the benefits of pooping in a potty, I would gladly outsource the job.

What about a metallic? Copper or pewter? Classic with an edge.
