A million thank yous to you for taking your photographs from as close to the same angle as possible. Brilliant apartment. Stylish and lived in, but not cluttered. Love the pink in the kitchen. =) Before & After: Three Years Worth of Decor Changes in One Warsaw Apartment House Call |

Go here to see the planned layout - looks like the old corner sink becamse an additional prep sink and the main sink is in the new island. Love that! http://www.montanaprairietales.com/blog/2011/12/14/kitchen-layout-plans.html Before & After: Joellyn's Grandma Kitsch to Modern Kitchen |

I have seen pegboard used on Pinterest as pre-drilled backing for a tufted headboard. This is an especially brilliant idea for folks who don't own drills or space to drill/craft a plywood back. One Design, Two Budgets: Modern Floral Bedroom |

I am desperate for a Kivik slipcover made from a heavy, extremely washable fabric like denim (ideal) or outdoor fabric. Bemz is the only choice so far and I don't like many of their fabrics. With a bunch of cats I need sturdy and washable, not linens. Make It Your Own: 10 Sources for Customizing IKEA Furniture |

I agree with others - gold face with a bold color in gloss like turquoise, black, fuschia, etc. Before is really not that shabby looking either to be honest. Unqiue even. Before & After: Paint that Monkey! Maison21 |

Nothing is more annoying than lazy postings. The #2 pic -"love with a proper stranger" just goes to a page number. Just a couple of seconds of clicking to get the permalink to the actual picture would allow us to go directly to the picture instead of page 83 at the moment (on a slow site). This is worse than people who don't know the difference between, their, there and they're. Could you at least post the date the picture is from to narrow it down? It's called glue. Use it to strengthen any flat-pack furniture. Glue every edge that contacts another shelf or edge. To hang it distribute the weight with a french cleat, "z" clip or thin flush mount or thin adjustable flush mount from Rockler. (http://www.rockler.com/c/brackets-braces.cfm)

PS I was posting lots of links on Pinterest to introduce newbies to Apartment Therapy. Not anymore. It used to be fun, an adventure to come here and click around at the different info on each sister site & sister city. Now it is work. There are plenty of sites that make you work. This should not be one of them. I don't like the site enough now to have even run into the cross-posting thing, but it sounds stupid, not to mention a waste of precious bandwidth. Btw, who talked y'all into doing this? I hope you didn't pay someone to advise/analyze your site and suggest these awful changes. Lastly for now...you have different names for topics and channels that go to the same posts. Cumbersome and not Internet standard I am used to where Channel buttons at the top should match Channel links on the side, not suddenly become topics only on the side. Please make the article header typface and the pictures smaller. Not everyone has a 24 inch monitor on their desk. Frankly that new format hurts my eyes. And I always thought I should be able to control how many posts I see on one page anyway. I have always loathed the limit of 10 per page. I do miss the old sister sites. I can understand incorporating them, but why did you change their names? Tech could still be Unplggd - we know it's tech for pete's sake. Why is Tech a Channel and Re-nest gets called a topic name? All of the old "Channels" should still be at the top. Welcome to the New Apartment Therapy! |

I like the two spaces separate because the doorway is very large and open as is - Now... buy new furniture first - sofa facing the fireplace - two chairs on either side of the fireplace with small surfaces next to each (see Pinterest for crafty solutions) - two chairs you have now reupholstered (or new chairs) placed side by side in front of the window with a small table in between (reuse one you have) - with sofa facing fireplace put console/bookcases, two matching dressers, etc. behind sofa - large area rug to cover llamp cords on sofa console plugging into wall under the rug - another area rug under the window reading chairs - two lamps for the reading area (buy one at a time to purposely not match) - highboys, cabinets, dresser etc. on either side of each door wall coming into the living room from the front door for storage and "mail drop" - I like your end tables, put some pperky paint on them - are you going to paint or did you paint already?
