Well you asked several questions that do not necessarily have the same answer. I ended up voting for Barney's loft, because that's the one I covet. The one you did the best job on was Jarret's basement bar. The one I'd want to implement in my own home: Michael's bedroom, by a mile. Vote for Your Favorite Room Re-do! The Inside Man |

So lovely! Although I don't understand how the dark grey closet doors make it seem bigger, from the picture they feel like they pop into the room and dominate the space. Small Space Ideas from a Greek Villa Villas of Santorini |

I hate scented candles -- all of them seem overpowering, smoky, and vaguely like burning oil to me. I generally just pick up marked off unscented ones at Cost Plus at the end of summer and after the holidays when they are getting rid of the last of inventory or just get Ikea's. One trick for not having any scent at all is to "blow out" the candles by taking a skewer and dipping the wick into the melted wax, then propping it back out of the puddle. It lightly seals the wick for easier lighting next time and does not allow any smoke to escape. Best Candle, for Looks, Price and Scent? Survey | Apartment Therapy DC |

I've got one in my family room. Rarely do we use it for actual excercise, but my 18-month old thinks it is cool that he has such a huge ball to push around, and when folks come over, there is always someone who wants to sit on it and bounce rather than sit in a "normal" chair. Oh yes, love the bathroom porn! My fantasy bathroom is based on the Japanese way of splitting the toilet and washing. A small powder room with a Japanese with-the-works toilet near the front door and an ofuro (deep tub) shower room looking outside with a few to lots of plants inside. And someone else to clean it all... Peaceful Bathroom SanctuariesRoundup | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

good stuff! 2% milk instead of milk/cream, used the microwave method above (only took 2mins and then 3-1min. intervals on high in an 1100W microwave), then stirred in 1 oz of unsweetened baker's chocolate because I didn't quite have enough cocoa. Nice and chocolaty, not too sweet and very thick. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Recipe: D.I.Y. Chocolate Pudding |

I do like the after pics, but the main problem I have with office makeovers is how clearly a day of filing could have helped in the before pics rather than a whole makeover. And there clearly isn't as much filing space (not to mention -- where *is* that mini-fridge?) Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Office Overhaul: The Tyra Bank's Show |

Don't microwave in plastic ever is not exactly what the original study said. On the other hand, "Some Concern" by the NTP probably warrants going to glass. Pyrex has some great sets, some aren't even that utilitarian looking. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Simple Green: Don't Microwave in Plastic ... Ever |

Uh, pretty house, but when did apartment therapy become 3400 SF. I agree with formosagirl, this is more like looking at a catalogue than seeing anything inspiring and innovative for space ideas. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | House Tour: Tracy Rex's Southbay Home Los Angeles |

Interesting. My first thought qualifies as refuge: a comfy couch looking out a window. My second thought was a hot-pot to make tea. My third was my hubby and baby. I'm agreeing with bepsf. I've had this design in mind for a while for our entry/dining/living room, but we had a complicated desk built custom for us that was still half the price of this table. Beautiful, but might as well just get it made locally. Apartment Therapy New York | Harvest Drop Leaf Dining Table by Design Within Reach |
