This place is exquite. I seriously fell in love as I moved through the tour. I am so impressed with the way you pulled this look together and created stylistic unity in light of your electic collection. To be clear, the mix works, because of the variation; you have created a home where everything looks like it belongs together meaningfully, in the space, while still keeping a very livable feel.

There is artistry in the atmosphere; I could move in tomorrow and bring only my toothbrush.

Your child is a fortunate little being!! All the best to you in your new life as parents!

Where is that cool clock from?? Anyone?

There are a lot of funky aspects to this place! But yes, please, get rid of the kitchen tile, they really don't jive with the rest of the place which is fully commited to the pop/modern aesthetic.

I love your place so much; it is totally the pad I would have if I was a single desingn student living in Kansas...:)

Seriously, I could just move in. Great job, the colours are great, accessories well placed and your furniture choices have a nice flow. What a fantastic apartment too, with all the windows....dreamy!

I, too, am curious about your stand up mirror beside the bed. Where did you find it?

Thanks for sharing and inspiring me!

As soon as I saw the second photo I thought of "William William's" small cool entry...check it out and see what they did with their treatment of the three windows, similar to your own. This will be the perfect way to make your ceilings look higher too. I am thinking to paint the walls white too maybe, and then do the wall with the other couch on it an accent colour - that you could pluck out of your curtains palette. The windows will "float" with the panes painted out, and the drapery will ad drama and personality to your space. Use the drapes to set the tone for the room. I think there needs to be a nod to the curvy lines of the credenza in the curtains, because everything else looks pretty modern.

Perhaps a modern looking chandelier for the central ceiling light.

You have some really nice pieces in your place, but there is a lack of cohesion, which is likely what you are feeling and why you wrote in...:) You need to consider some main themes and then use them to tie it together. IE do you want to stick with the orange - ok, then make sure there is some orange in the curtains, or replace the rug with something with orange; the gold mirror is great, but it needs to be acknowledged with other pieces in the room too, or it just looks too bold for the context. I think a different rug would really do a lot for the room, that and the drapes alone could be a really significant difference for you.

Perhaps bring the side table more into view, perhaps on the other side of the brown couch - you already have a lot of natural light on that side anyway.

And, at the risk of saying too much :) Get a couple of plants to warm the room up and give it some life. Maybe place a plant near the end of the white couch and beside the credenza under the art.

Hope this helps!

I reject this almost entirely. Take away the silver frame and the curtain and you have a room.

This bed treatment is equivalent of wearing two pair of shoes at once: overdone in a completely unnessary way, distroying the original funtional attractiveness altogether.

Thanks Heather,

It looks soooo well done; I think that it was quite a pro that crafted this crafty craft project! Just the way it all works from various angles.....sigh....unattainable...

Thanks again for the redirect. :)

OMG! Genius; that is so pretty, you have done the impossible! I have a friend who loves her old rad too, but I bet she will love this idea!

Did you do that free hand?

I LOVE this place too! William, where did you get the living room drapes? I need to know! :)

I agree with bepsf exactly about the bedroom though. In fact, I did the very same thing in my little bedroom - I had one small window - and I ran floor to ceiling drapes across the entire width of the wall, and it looks great.

Your colours are great and the place, overall, is so rich and unique I want to come over and hang out!

Good design and decorating!

That is a neat, simple idea that does make sense, but sticking kids art work to the fridge with fun coloured boxes of matches might be a little on the dangerous side. Kids and matches.....fun coloured boxes...on the fridge.......just say'in :)

BUT! I do think it is a good idea for adult only homes.

Like most, this place is beyond my reach by a long shot, however, I do appreciate that inspiration it provides. I love the fabrics she had used for the kids' rooms; I would move in tomorrow and hardly change a thing! I would like to see more throw back pieces like the orange chair. The master bath is dreamy. I always wonder what folks like this do for a living that they can afford to live this way. I guess I should keep buying the lotto tix.

Thank you KTG! I am so impressed with your skillz. I really did not think there was a live link to the bowls. Thanks for your efforts; I will go and order those bowls now unless they are $200.

Thanks!!

I can't seem to navigate my way through to the bowls?? I want a set - please tell me where. I have a complete lack of space in my kitchen, for storage, and sets like that can make a huge difference for how my kitchen functions, overall. Fun colours too!

I like it. A personality is being thoughtfully expressed, and that is what counts the most, for me, in someone's home.

I love the bedside tables, the apples and the mirror in the dining room as well. I too, would have liked to see the kitchen, but obviously it isn't the highlight of the place or it would have been included. Still, a glimpse, just to complete the picture feels in order.
