City living! Any recommendations for soundproofing floor against impact or footfall noise (aka two toddlers who like to run and jump!) I own my home and will be installing new hardwood floor. While I am at it, might as well try to combat this problems. My floor has 2x12 joists with OSB subfloor. Anyone with experience out there who can shed light regarding products and/or installation? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Love your nursery! These metal bins that you mounted are the wall are perfect. But unfortunately there are no longer sold by CB2. If anyone can find an similar and alternative product, please let me know. Thank you.

- declutter counter catch all

Kitchen
- declutter kitchen counters - create storage for fruits, vegetables, etc (metal bins?)
- organize "catch-all" drawers & cabinets
- line all drawers & cabinets for protection from spills & scratches
- fix loose garbage pail cabinet

Living Room
- organize kids toys (perhaps create a wall storage area)
- organize & store books next to console area
- hang up more art & family pictures
- buy 3 new couch pillows
- professionally clean the microsuede couch & chair
- set up a music station for the kids

Den/Office
- convert room into office/TV room/playroom
- replace mattress with compact sleeper sofa
- create separate designated "doggie area" for her sleeping & eating
- clean out closet
- cosign wedding dress which is taking up room in closet
- digitize paper documents and therefore rid of file cabinet
- find dedicated spot for the vacuum cleaner

Guest bath
- paint walls

Master bedroom
- hang up more art & family pictures
- rid of hamper
- create secondary desk space

Kids bedroom
- hang up more art & family pictures
- organize closet; create storage for shoes, clothing (outgrown, seasonal, upcoming sizes), recycled toys, bulk items, blankets.
- create book shelving
- music station

Kids bathroom

- buy towels
- accessorize

Hi. Surprised no one has made mention of shag rugs. My husband convinced me to buy a 5' x 7' deep pile wool shag rug and I find it impossible to keep clean. No matter how much I vacuum, dirt & dust settle into its deep crevices. Beating the rug is tough since it's soo heavy. Anyway have any suggestions or know of a good cleaner for this type of rug in NYC-area? Thank you!
