what fisheggs said. theres meat birds, egg birds, dual purpose birds and ornamental birds. this bird is ornamental. not much meat, gamey/ew to eat and not a heavy layer. why do you think silkies are called 'ornamental'? because theyre for looking at (or hugging ^^), not so much for eating. you want a good chicken for eating? get something else!
