Thanks for your comments, however, because of a very specific selection, disassembly,
re-assembly, and finishing process there is little need for worry regarding unwelcome substances on our Yorkwood. First, Yorkwood Co. only selects pallets that have gone through natural heat treatment, not fumigation. This means our pallet wood has not been treated with anti-fungal agents, insecticides, or preservatives, and should not have any traces of carcinogens. From this group Yorkwood Co. personally hand selects only the cleanest, strongest pallets, from local businesses in our community. After selecting these pallets we strip off all exposed faces and edges of the boards in case there is any other substances on their surfaces (that's why our Yorkwood looks so clean, sleek, and attractive). After removing all old edges of the boards and exposing untouched woodgrain we then clean each board off with a solution that incorporates a minimal amount of bleach in order to sterilize every new surface. After this solution has dried we apply multiple coats of water based environmentally friendly sealant to protect and seal every table top.
