Wow! What style! What vision! What terrific solutions you've found to display your travel treasures! For some reason, I am unable to do that with all of the things that I've collected through my travels. Thank you for that joyful tour! Marisa and Peter's Playfully Eclectic Home House Tour |

My father and sister were both in hospice care at the end of their lives. At the hospice they were in, the halls were covered in artwork for sale. I found a piece for each of them whose subject reminded me of them and I purchased them. Now when I look on those pieces, I am reminded of the joy that that subject in relation to them and me brings. Elbowglitter, that is a brilliant solution! But doesn't that require a key to access the lockbox? For my car keys I've trained myself to ask myself if I have my keys and require myself to recall myself stashing my keys before closing the car door. I also don't set the keys down anywhere but the ignition or my hand or purse. These habits could be adapted for a house/abode door. Me? I usually go through the garage door with an automatic door/remote control. Locked Out: What's Your Back-Up Plan? |

For decades I've had a life goal of filling a pie safe with quilts of my own making. I'm on track but I need many more to complete my goal. I suppose that means that I'm going to live for decades more! I hope so, anyway! In the Kitchen & Beyond: New Uses for Pie Safes |

I've reluctantly given up Sunset. Over the years it's gotten to be skinnier and skinner. Very disappointing. I really had a hard time giving up Fine Gardening; I'd been a subscriber since the beginning. I've stopped taking Better Homes and Gardens. I did, however, just re-up with Threads. I absolutely adore that magazine--so much to discover and conquer! Re-subscribe? De-subscribe? Magazines In The New Year |

LadyKatey, you can put them on Freecycle and someone will grab them pretty quickly. I like to use them as picture frames--they really work to create art pieces out of even such things as magazine photos you've been saving forever! I say that just because it's been shown before doesn't mean that it isn't new to some people. Give me a break! I can't stand when somebody says, 'Didn't you just post this recently?' As for the paint chips, yeah, they're there for the taking. You don't have to take them all at once. And who knows? You might become so attached to a particular color that you'll actually use it to paint a whole room! So quit the bickering and the holier-than-thou talk and leave the chips fall where they may. Sure beats the $150+ lamps, etc., that populate this site. Chips, anyone? And no, don't wear them on your shoulders! Use Paint Chips to Create Wall Art |

That first example (the one with the WS propped in front) looks like it could be emulated by using colored tissue paper (maybe held down with spray glue?) and, sealed with a spray shellac, and then if that's not enough, covered with ModPodge. Looks good, though. Very graphic! I've thought of doing this ever since an introduction to art class in college. Maybe it's time! wallstudio: Get Graphic Walls Store Profile |

Brilliant use of space. Rent seems a bit high but what do I know? Share a bathroom? So what? You'd share one if you had roommates, too. Good on you, Luke, for creating a beautiful situation for yourself. You seem like a very happy, productive guy! Luke's Barely Habitable |

Beautiful! Luke is obviously happy and his ability to thrive in this space is testament to that! I am jealous; I have too much space and too much stuff; I feel as though I have boat anchors. Luke seems to be free as a bird and able to travel anywhere he desires! Great job, Luke! You inspire me! Luke's Barely Habitable Video Tour! |
