@del4yo "everyone should have a private space in their house" - hahaha try living in a 550 sq feet apartment with your boyfriend and a flatmate. we use the dinning table to work and have two sets of drawers and a bookcase with books and boxes. well, it doesn't work, when he leaves everything everywhere i just stuff it in his boxes. he complains, i argue back, life goes on.

here in Portugal the usual is to line-dry clothes (well, there isn't really an immediate translation to line-dry, it is assumed) almost every apartment in Lisbon has a clothing line on the outside, below the window, usually not in the main façade unless in old Lisbon ().

so I guess the resistance to line-dry is mostly cultural and, to a lesser extent, somewhat related to the weather.

Oh, the humanity.

reading in the toilet is awesome and I adore every single person who does it - and despise every single one who finds it icky. it's not like you can't read while your feces are finding their way out.

as for the icky factor, icky is cooking, with all the grease stuck everywhere. icky is TPing, icky is kissing semi-strangers after dating, icky is having children with placenta and poop everywhere, icky is being HUMAN.

get over yourselves and live a little.
