Congratulations Sylvia! Twins are a wonderful adventure. (Mine are nearly 5 now.) I just wanted to mention that Mothers of Twins Clubs, even if you're not much of a 'joiner,' are a tremendous resource. Most have twice-yearly tag sales where you can get all kinds of gently used gear (including cribs and bassinets!) dirt cheap. (Ours lets expectant Moms shop early, before the crowds.) Also, even if you never go to a meeting, I found the online communities to be invaluable. Best of luck with your new additions!

$2.99 @ Chriatmas Tree Shops now. Go to their website, they're on page 3 of the current online flyer. They're not as nice as PB's, but might do in a pinch!

Beautiful space. What lucky kids!

@kellyfitz, we use a large piece of lattice (ours is pvc, but you could probably use wood) to cover our sandbox. Keeps the kitties from making deposits but allows for drainage/drying out. We hang it on a nail on the fence when the sandbox is in use.

We use a big, colorful mesh bag from the Container Store -- came w/ strong suction cups, holds a lot. Cost about $9.99, just saw the same EXACT thing @ TJ Maxx for $2.99.

Survival mode for this Mom of toddler twins is food, laundry, and at least one non-preschool outing each day (barring sickness, of course). And a little Sesame Street never killed anyone.

One of those entrepeneur game/reality shows (Shark Tank?) had a sister pair who wanted $$ to invest in their 'Send-a-ball' business. Inflated, plastic, playground-sized play balls can also be sent through the mail.

If you have a front-loading washer, this is a MUST -- small items like baby socks can get caught in the seal/draining mechanism.

Honey, I believe, is the one food that doesn't spoil. The sugar acid content keep bacteria from forming. Maple syrup must not be acidic enough.

At least she had a shot at getting the marker out. Unlike our friend, whose 3 y.o. scratched his name in the new stainless fridge with a coat hanger, then tried to blame it on the 9-month-old. Now that's permanent!

I second honeyhaze's opinion. A>Swingalong Castle

Very cute! But doesn't the leather get stiff after a while? I'm happy to see they are coming out with pocket version, as a no-pocket bib would seem to contribute to laundry anyway -- everything would end up in baby's lap. My favorites are the Bumkins, now available at Babies 'R' Us. PVC, BPA, Phthalate & Vinyl Free, rinse in the sink, hang to dry, throw them in the washing machine once in a while. They're always included in my shower gifts these days, especially now that they've got new (modern) patterns.

I LOVE my Container Store clear mesh shoe organizers! I have two, one in the (twin) toddlers' room to corral socks, hair accessories and various doodads, and one inside the entryway closet for toddler shoes/mittens/hats and the like. I have found, however, that the over-the-door hooks tend to damage the door. I use the 3M Hooks w/ removable adhesive to hang the organizers instead.

Also, "Daughter Odette, born 20 October 2007." (via IMDb)

Love the colorful mix & the toy storage.
