Re: cabinet hardware, I KNOW, RIGHT? It's like, a $7 drawer pull doesn't seem so bad...until you remember you have to buy 24 of them.

Here's a more comprehensive list of plants that are toxic to animals: http://www.aspca.org/Pet-care/poison-control/Plants

A surprisingly good source for plant pots is Goodwill (or thrift stores in general, I guess). I got a bunch of basic ones there recently that were super cheap and looked new, probably donated from another store.

I got it at Target! I know, right? I totally fell in love with it when I saw it, too. Unfortunately, it was several years ago, and I don't believe they have that particular one anymore.

Hey, this is Diana. Thank you for the comments! I actually don't know the name of the paint color, as by extremely happy coincidence, it was like that when I moved in. For what it's worth, though, it's a bit less saturated than it appears - the light filtering through the curtains makes everything a bit bluer.

Favorited. I am such a sucker for that shade of purple.

Whoa.

The "glass-front" cupboard doors are especially inspired, I think.

That duvet cover is just so beautiful. I don't know how anyone could do anything in that room but stare at it.

I love these historical analysis posts. They are feasts for the mind.

Gotta say, though. I admire Goethe, but when it comes to his thoughts on class opinions of color, I don't care for his tone.

Hmm, the after is pretty great, but the before has a dog in it, so...

Oh, wait, now I see - it's in the URL of the project page. Still not sure whether Megan is the client or the designer, though.

Also, I agree with Sylly that it's a bit busy, but actually I think removing the plant between the windows would be enough to tone it down.

No, the post specifically says "this teen bedroom" and "their young client" but there is no reference to a teenager at the project page, or any indication that "Megan" isn't Megan Downing, one of the designers.

Okay, straight talk: Miracle Mask is not only better than Last Specter, it's better than the first three games put together. I can't recommend it enough.

Unwound Future actually made me kind of mad, because I love time travel and that game somehow managed to ruin its time travel plot, but the aesthetics have always been fabulous and that game was no exception. This was a really inspired post. The desk and curtains in particular could have been taken straight from the series.

You know, I have no idea why Ikea discontinued their Aneboda nightstand. I have one and it's perfect: the perfect height, the perfect amount of surface area, and a nice roomy drawer at the bottom. I'd recommend it to anyone who can get one secondhand.
