I made mine last weekend and it turned out amazing. Kudos to you and your thorough instructions! Instead of using a 10", I used a 7" mirror - it did make a slight difference in arrangement, but keeping to your suggestion to "[glue] from your 12" main sticks outward; it'll help keep everything symmetrical!" it really did ensure consistency and evenness. I used a “Maple” varnish and it turned out just like the picture, maybe just a pinch lighter…
