I like the mirror. I like the wood. But,not together...they seem to fight each other. I do think though, its a great idea to have a mirror there. Really well executed project. Another thank you for taking the before and after photos from the same angle.

Hey CommonAesthetic...that's NOT a comment that adds anything to the conversation. That's a,(guess what),petty and a bit mean spirited attitude. Rude, but not helpful to anyone.

I don't have a problem with the paint. I am,however,a little unsure about the blue on the feet because it seems kinda random and disconnected. From the photo I'm having a hard time seeing how that blue relates to the rest of the piece or the rest of the room. I realize though, that one photo doesn't tell the whole story of a room. I bet if I could see the whole room it would be obvious why she choose that blue and it would make total sence.

What always amazes me is the number of people who have such strong opinions about what constitutes a “real home". The world is full of very different people each with their own unique life experiences that influence their home. If the person that lives in that home is comfortable in it,then it is a “real home" to them. If a different style is more comfortable to you, that is perfectly fine. However,to declare someone else's home less real because they have a different look than your own makes no sense.
I see this home as being used as a canvas to express the owners design aesthetic. Perfectly valid, especially since she is in the business. It is beautifully executed.

Miki, try not to mind the negativity. There are commenters here that cannot make it through the day without finding fault or without finding something to be offended at. Remember, you accomplished something while they have only sat back and anonymously criticized.

While the examples in the link Fraochjean provided are interesting,I think this redo is just fine the way it is. Maybe she will be lucky and find a similar table to redo in a way she is more exited about. It's not too late! ;)
