Yeah, I have to agree with LMSD1963, that these examples are far from realistic. Who only owns 8 articles of clothing that all happen to be in the exact same color pallette?

I think *PI is right that I bet this is a one-bedroom apartment. Those old row homes are often broken up so each floor is an apartment. If this is the case, then I think you should focus on what you loved about the apt in the first place. Is it the location, the price, the character? Whatever it may be, play up those features. You guys must have thought at first the walk-through bedroom would be an inconvenience, so you need buyers to look past it too and love what you loved.

Is there any parents out there that have used the "im bored jar" yet? If so, I'd love to hear how your kids reacted to it. Does it work? If the kid pulls a "chore" instead of a fun activity, do they actually follow through and do the chore? Or do you kids avoid the "im bored jar" alltogether for fear of pulling a bad card? Also, how many cards do they get to pull? Do they only get one pick, or do they get to pull two and choose which one?

I'd actually sand and stain them a dark espresso color. I think the dark stain would look great against the silvery/gray fabric. But if you are totally set on painting them, id choose white out of the three options you are considering.

I dont think painting the cabinets would look silly at all! I was going to suggest to paint the walls a very light blueish gray color (which would look lovely against the black counters and white painted cabs) but it might clash with the tile in the shower. Or maybe not?

As for the other bathroom, I actually love the color of the cabients as-is, so I'd suggest just painting the walls a lighter color, and perhaps replacing the over-sized mirrors with smaller framed mirrors for an instant update.

Top priority is to convince your partner to get new cabinet doors. Since the cabinet boxes are in great shape, replacing the doors with an updated style will make such a HUGE impact. Either that, or embrace a french country theme and make it work.

Nix the counter-depth fridge. Counter-depths are 6 inches wider than your standard depth fridge and they wont fit in that nook you got. Also, you can't install a stainless steel sink without replacing the countertops because the opening for the sink will be the wrong size.
