Wet room bathrooms are fairly common in China where I'm based right now. I've seen a lot of people remedy their desire for a tub with a Japanese wooden bathtub. To drain it they use rubber hosing that connects with the shower drain. I'm not sure how easy it is to get these tubs in the states though. Good luck! Temporary Tub Options for Rental?
