Get one of those colorful outdoor rugs. They are good looking and perfect for a kitchen because spills clean up with water. Agree with backsplash or paint and lighting. lepidoptery, I sprayed rustoleum in bright orange onto a $5 file cabinet. Looks great. Flatten out some large cardboard boxes and place your cabinet on them to paint. Yoy won't have much over spray. Before & After: An Upcycled File Box |
