Had my first at Napoleon House also. Few years down the line I thought, summer drink, hmm, Pims Cup. Always with ginger ale and cucumber if I have one, and lime. From another long time Houstonian, if you visit check out the Orange Show a few miles away. Also from a middle class guy with a vision. My late mother had this 1920's home economics thing similar to the canola oil tip. She would rub vegetable shortning (Crisco) on oil stains and pour boiling water over them, then wash with mild soap. Worked like a charm. What is Your Quirkiest Cleaning Tip? Real Simple |

Cafe curtains (colorful dishtowels are easy and inexpensive) on tension rods on the bottom half of the windows will let light in. Colorful art...posters, framed food photos, plates, ect.
