I live in a rental that I'm not able to do much with. In my bathroom the toilet is cracked, the vanity is ugly, the linoleum is trying to come up, the towel bar is trying to free itself from the drywall, and the lighting leaves much to be desired. However, with the addition of a bowed shower curtain rod and pretty shower curtain, new shower head, plush bath mat, and nice towels I don't even notice that my crummy bathroom isn't a 5 star hotel! I agree with Clauckner, definitely check World Market. They have great furniture that is always unique and always affordable! Another good option, if you don't mind the work is an option from Target. I couldn't find it on their website, but I just saw in in the store last weekend. It is very similar in style, right down to the handles, to the one you have pictured, although it is dark wood. I purchased the same cabinet last year for less than $100 and it has held up great! Suggestions for Affordable Media Console? Good Questions |

I purchased a brand-new-in-the-box double pull down map of the US and World from the 1960's last month from eBay for $30. I was thinking about using it as a window shade in my office because its about 6 feet wide, but after finding out that my window is too narrow I'm thinking of hanging it in my living room over my bar! I'm having the same problem in my small living room! I have a floor lamp I made from an old tripod, but since the space is so small, I don't have room for any end tables to put lamps on or any floor space for floor lamps. I was thinking about finding a swag light that I can plug into an outlet on the floor, but I haven't had any luck finding any that are reasonably priced. Any suggestions would be great! @Montemalone, Don't worry, I don't plan on painting either pieces! The grain of the wood on them is too gorgeous to do anything more than oil. Help Identifying Secondhand Furniture? Good Questions |

This is Elizabeth, the one who owns the pieces. Both of the pieces of furniture are solid wood, and, @HLI, I think the dresser is teak and it has a rounded front. Help Identifying Secondhand Furniture? Good Questions |
