Think those flowers are wild carrot. Try not to emulate this look with poison hemlock kids.

I'm sure this chair does appeal to the kind of women who find shoes irresistible. They are marine level experts at putting style over comfort.

Still, very pretty, almost bridal.

Towels and gin. It's like an 18th century first aid kit. Love it.

How did punchy come to mean a good thing? I mean, stabby, that's not a thing you would ever want.

(Sorry.)

This is AMAZING. Nowadays people can't make a damn thing without mastic, so no nails has blown me away.

I'm too much of a pessimist to enjoy those ampersands. To me they shout 'AND?'

This lady has the perfect balance of giving just enough cushions to look comfy and interesting but not too much so it's cushion city. That's a harder skill than you'd think.

This is bananas. Not the quitting your job and moving for love thing, which I admire, but the trying to fit both your lives into this space.

Reckon the only way to manage it would be like said earlier start from scratch, both of you cull your possessions with ruthlessness, and use the space all the way to the ceiling effectively. That blue coving could have a line of shelves right across it. Get smaller appliances, built in.

However this is a lot of attention and money to lavish on the place if you see yourselves moving anytime soon in the future.

Dish drainers which hide in the sink! Clever.

Only recently did I discover that fancy people buy those plastic drainers with a tray and then hide it in a cupboard, and that's how people with belfast sinks dry their stuff.

My dish drainer tragically sits atop the washing machine, and on faster spin cycles a few mugs have copped it.

Plus the gorgeous veteran, white bearded dogfaces. Bless!

I'm very impressed this family have two daughters who can share. If it had been me and my sister, I would have asked them to blow the budget building me a partition wall.

Not sure about the appropriateness of the beds. The beds look somewhat BSDM to me, but perhaps those connotations are in the eye of the beholder. Sorry!

Paint's just paint. It's the equivalent of a large gnome. Be grateful for the restrictions you do have.

See any Victorian suburb in the UK and you will get to see people burdened by the garish improvements of past owners wanting to make their terraced 'castle' stand out. I mainly despair about anachronistic modifications to Victorian buildings like slapdash pebbledash, ripped out bay windows inexplicably made to look like the bow window of an olde Englishe coffee shop, and simulated stone cladding in My Little Pony colours.

Just when you thought it was over, the new kind of butchery is people getting their houses rendered with a little plaque in relief, possibly showcasing an image of a squirrel or West Ham football team's crest, and sticking in white uPVC sash windows with stuck on detailing which turns yellow and drops off, or brown uPVC with fake leaded lights.

If this makes me sound like a snob, then that's because I am, but it's more about the permanent loss of the historical features. If people want to put a concrete wishing well in their front garden or paint their door pink and purple spots, or stick on fake shutters, or stick a lion on their gatepost, it's not my bag but it's not forever.

Sometimes these sorts of homes feel a bit like a repurposed multi-story carpark, but this is very much a home.

I have a history of plantar fasciitis and concrete floors are my nemesis. I hope that the owner gets lots of comfortable shoes and slippers as gifts for the holidays.

I'm sorry to intervene but that red telephone box could so easily as previously mentioned become a tardis. I must speak out.

Stop appropriating the most superficial aspects of my culture and embrace it more meaningfully with a box set of Doctor Who, and something unrecognisable in a pie.
