Also: CORN OIL! It's not any worse (or healthier, really) for you than canola oil, but I find that canola leaves a strange taste to my food... almost a fishy taste. Every time I fry, I get the absolute best results with corn oil!! Tips for Better Deep-Frying at Home? Good Questions |

I think we had two splurges... first, a rocker & ottoman from Land of Nod... I just HATE the fugly gliders that are out there, so I basically didn't tell my husband that there was anything cheaper than the $1k we spent at LoN :) Our second big splurge was our UppaBaby Vista stroller BUT we used Amex points for it on Amazon.com, so I guess we didn't *really* spend cash on it. But the glider/ottoman definitely was a splurge. It looks great right next to the $150 Wal-Mart crib we got :) lol What Was Your New Baby Splurge? Reader Survey |

Man, I could've used this post about two months ago.... I'm in the process of decorating our first borns nursery and I've just been completely disgusted with the glut of FUGLY gliders out there.
