I've just started doing this after I saw my husband doing it. There is so much flesh leftover on the pit, how can you spoil all that goodness! Why I Secretly Suck on Mango Pits in the Kitchen (And So Should You) |

I didn't read the article but the premise immediately reminded me of a friend who just bought a place and who is decorating and finding it very stressful. She does read AT and other blogs and is having a hard time reconciling her ideals with her budget. Looking at all the gorgeous rooms and homes on this site, it is easy to feel inadequate because you don't have the money, time or eye for decorating. Some of those are really beautiful, but I agree with imnessg, it would be a mess to transfer the honey from the original container into one of those. Also, because honey is so sticky, you would loose some honey in the transfer. I guess these would be good if you bought honey in bulk. Those open containers wouldn't be so practical in my house because we have some ants, and they would just throw themselves at the honey. 10 Neat, Sweet Honey Jars and Pots Product Roundup |

I enjoy my own cooking more than most meals I eat outside of home. I find most restaurant food doesn't stand out that much, unless it's a really good restaurant. Why Does Food Taste Better When Someone Else Makes It? |

I do agree that the idea is clever, but I don't like the look of these chairs one bit. I think the combination of very classic and old fashioned shape with ultra high tech material just doesn't work. In all these photos, they just remind me of plastic patio furniture. Modern Classics: The Ghost Chair |

I live in a neighborhood with a lot of food options. There are several grocery stores, an organic co-op a nice fruiterie, a farmer's market twice a week and several bakeries, a fish market and a butcher a bit further away. I sometimes take the metro to go to a big farmer's market a bit further away but that is about as far I will go. I don't have a car so going to the suburbs is out of the question and nothing in the suburbs is as nice as what I can get in town anyways. How Far Do You Travel For Groceries? |

We pay between 3 and 5 dollars for eggs at the farmers market and from friends here in Montreal. I do find that eggs from some vendors are of better quality than others. That is still cheaper than getting organic free range eggs at the grocery store (those are over 6 dollars). A friend of ours raises exotic chickens as a hobby and sells eggs for 5$ a dozen. They are beautiful eggs, all different colors. Getting them is a real treat. I love cracking really good eggs in a bowl and see that their whites are all really well defined. So cool. I also love the deep yellow color of scrambled eggs made from pastured eggs. $6.00 For a Dozen Eggs: Are You Willing To Pay More For Pasture-Raised Eggs? |

My husband and I made this meal for a block party yesterday. It is very good and we really enjoyed making it too. It makes a ton of food, so next time, I would probably half the recipe. Recipe: Baked Chicken with Bacon Recipes from The Kitchn |

I think i'm a pretty adventurous eater so most things don't bother me. I'm also pretty lucky that I don't have food allergies. There were a few times in the last few years where I couldn't eat something. I think most of the time I would just try to eat it to be polite unless it was undercooked and dangerous to it. Then I would just leave it on the plate and be discreet about it. Dinner Party Dilemma: What To Do When You're Served Something Unpalatable? |

This is interesting. I have never put peanut butter in the fridge and never gave a thought to it. We use natural peanut butter and don't use it very fast and I have never had it go rancid. It does get a little bit messy when the oil separates and the jars is full. Do You Have to Refrigerate Peanut Butter? Good Questions |

I buy a lot of my food from the farmers market in summer. My farmers market is very small (around 10 vendors) and very local. Sure, it is a bit pricy, but the food is so good that it is worth it to me. I buy goat cheese, meat (usually lamb and pork), bread, honey, sometimes jam. At the end of summer, one guy sells guinea hens and they are amazing, a real treat. Beyond Fruits and Vegetables: What Else Do You Buy at Your Farmers' Market? |

Like many others, I prefer soap bars, because I find gels smell too strong and to reduce packaging. I buy Aleppo soap and put it in a soap holder out of the water stream so that it lasts long rand doesn't leave a trail of soap scum down the wall. It works for us. Interesting to read everyone's opinion on the matter. Small Changes, Serious Impact |

I use my microwave mostly for re-heating and thawing, sometimes to melt butter or chocolate. I think it would be fairly easy to live without one at home. At work, I use the microwave almost everyday to reheat my lunch. How Do You Feel About the Microwave? Reader Survey |

We sent printed invitations for our wedding, which was fun and felt like an old timey ceremony. For any other event in my life, I would never consider using paper invitations. Calling people or sending emails is more efficient. I know sometimes for family events we receive them because some older family members do not use the Internet. Are Printed Invitations Obsolete?
