Yes open, wide open! I love the cool crisp mountain night air, screen door keeps out pests, and the dog in. Waking up the morning with the freshest air you can imagine with birds singing and the sound of the creek, perfection. The dog will always give me enough heads up to arm myself of needed be. Summertime and the living is easy. Yea me. Now then in L.A. in even a small town I do not live in, turn on the air, get one of those sound machines and lock up tight!

My suggestion would cost more than fixing it, cut it out more, and make it a cabinet for liquor, and what not....You gotta fix it.

I love your room, congrats on your new home! Whoo hoooo! I agree with cleaning the brick and a fireplace screen would be wonderful. You could hand sooner lovely art from the brick, add a wonderful fireplace screen and a lighter mantel. For me the fan is a bit out of place, I'd get rid of it and find something more in keeping with your style. Those Windows are big....let the light in! In my opinion a person could make it warm and cozy without paint. Of I was going to paint anything it would bee the brick in a warm lighter color. Have fun, again congratulation on your new home.

Hello mid century modern kicked up a notch (maybe two)! Pet peeve of mine is a room decorated around a television, not a problem with this room :) a tv can always be turned for viewing chairs as well. Neat place, love it. Couldn't live there I would mess it up inside of a day! Good luck with the contest great great place.

I love love love all the furnishing. For me the sofa looking at the wall, tv or not, just doesn't work for me. The views for a city dweller are perfect! The ottoman as a plant stand.....well it is used I suppose. The photography is very well done. Two TV's in a tiny space?

I like it. Who cares if you didn't show the kitchen, looks like a sink and a stove top. It is very well balanced, some how even with a skirted sofa your living room doesn't make me feel claustrophobia. The loft bed with the throw on the end nearly matching the carpet make the whole room look like part of the bed, and spacious. Well done.

Ok so this is the1st time Iam going too make a suggestion. . . Here goes. Get some fabric you like <I would personally use a light burlap for texture> sew a simple channel top and bottom, so that they hit the window at the top and bottom frame. Go to your local Mart get two rods per window, the heavier the better, but as cheap as you need them to be. Run the rods through the top use the hooks the correct way on the to hang them, then run the rod through the bottom and using the hooks upside down attach and stretch the curtain to hook on the bottom hooks. You end up with a flat panel that add flair, and looks better than plastic methinks.

Vodka will get rid of cat pee! Cats can not pee like dogs so the smell is most likely on the bottom, maybe they use it for a cat box....any way pour some cheap booze on it, then when it's gone seal it and carry on. Have fun! I wish someone have left it on a curb near me.
