C'mon - I'm getting tired of all of these supposed "green" trendy and overpriced items - just get some terracotta pots, coffee cans, milk crates, or olive oil tins and keep it simple for pete's sake!

I absolutely love the home and the setting is off the charts. What a wonderfully enchanting location.

There is one small detail my eyes could not avert, and that is the track lighting rail in the kitchen.

I suggest taping off the inside rail and either paint the black rail in the matching wall color, or get rid of the entire system. It just doesn't seem right for your house to have such a lighting set up - there's got to be a better way.

Other than that small item - you are one very fortunate person!

Overall - lovely job. A bit too sterile for me though. I would place larger framed art on the walls - not too many, but I feel you need a few more bold pieces on the walls. Groovy!

Looks a bit too much like licorice allsorts colors. That said, it is a dynamite paint job!

I think you have some great pieces throughout your home, but I feel like the entire apartment looks a little anemic and a little too display-ee.

Though if I were to photograph my pad I'd make little still lifes as well. I do love your slip on shoes - any chance you can tell me the brand name?

: )

I love Queen Ann's Lace, but my partner has declared war on it - so it is nowhere to be found in our garden.

That said, I've surrendered to allow Creeping Charlie do its utmost creeping since it is next to impossible to control! Plus I once saw it being sold at a greenhouse as a ground cover - so it may not be the weed I think it is!

This is pretty stupid. How about just using a wall and/or a white sheet? I find AT's posting as a tacit endorsement of a material wasting product - c'mon people!

I planted a grapefruit pip 15 years ago to inaugurate the arrival of my niece. It is 4 feet tall, has dark glossy leaves and 1 inch thorns (I wasn't aware these trees had thorns) and is thriving indoor and out.

I put it out all spring and summer, water it frequently, cut it back a bit here and there. In the fall when the threat of frost is upon us, I bring it into the house and place it in a southern window and water it minimally during the winter.

It has never had any fruit, but that's ok by me - it's a lovely small tree that is connected to our family in a very symbolic but beautiful way.

I think secret_agent says it all - if the owner of UO is Richard Hayne who is a noted social conservative and gives millions to the right-wing causes and candidates - then for get about the damn couches!

Two of us currently live in an 800 square foot home. Having never lived in a larger place, but visited many huge homes of friends over the years, I cannot imagine having a bigger place.

Our small place is quick and easy to clean, everything is in reach, it has plenty of storage, and is "in scale" with our lives.

On a related note, I have noticed that these McMansions are usually filled with huge, foamy armchairs, ottomans, and couches that would fill up our entire house if we were to use them! What a waste of space and a waste of resources!
