I don't think it gets any better than John Robshaw. Hand printed, and so luxurious. They tend to take a little time "wear in", as the block print process can make them a little stiff at first. We have had the peekaboo coffee table for 2 years and love it. It's PERFECT if you have kids. They can't hurt it or themselves. Do be aware, though, that it scratches easily. So if you are looking for a clear, clean table, this might not be the best choice. We don't mind the swirls, we think it adds character and tells our guests they are welcome to go without a coaster. Love the floors. We're researching painting ours as well. Wondering how they stand up to kids? And did you do them? What process did you use. I read this last night and on a whim decided to throw my covers in the wash. We have a great Crate and Barrel couch that has been through 2 dogs and a baby and was in desperate need of some love. I kept putting off dry cleaning because of the expense, but something needed to be done to clean this thing. I was tired of covering with a blanket. I figured if it didn't work I'd just go out and get a slip cover. But it worked great. It doesn't look brand new. Our dog drool is a tough one. But I know it's clean!
