Yikes, I cant believe anyone would trust a $10 pack of velcro with a $500+ device like an iPad. Velcro wears down after a while, this is just a shattered screen and broken heart waiting to happen... I'm also not sure why anyone would need to stick an iPad to their wall to display photos or look up the weather, I mean is holding the device really that cumbersome? I hope if anyone tried this they stick the velcro to the back of their Otterbox and not directly against the iPad.

I made this recipe (sort of) last night and it was super easy and very delicious! My grocery store didn't carry pearl onions so I just used 3 small yellow onions cut into 8ths, and I made it a meal by adding cubbed chicken pieces and some baby carrots. So easy and not to mention this recipe is pretty darn healthy too! It made my apartment smell divine while the sauce was reducing. Thanks for the recipe, I will definitely make it again.

Another way to spot fakes is if you find multiple reviews that are worded very similarly. I have seen this a lot when hunting for a new apartment and checking out reviews on the property, the landlords get on there and write multiple similar reviews to get the average rating up, for example

I love my apartment, the location is great and the staff is friendly and everything is always well maintained.

My apartment is great. It is located close to everything. The staff is very helpful and maintenance is always on top of any concerns I have.

I kidd you not, these examples are pretty much exactly what was written about the last place I lived at, which was a sh** hole.

I always read reviews about every product I buy now and I always try to spot fakes. Fake reviews are a big red flag...

Tension rod, and curtain. Done. No holes, super inexpensive, and takes like 5 seconds to install. I have a door-less bedroom in my apartment as well and I have considered doing the same thing for privacy when guests are over. For sure this would be my go-to solution.

Target has super cheap tension rods in lots of different sizes too fyi.

I am sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with Apple!! I have always had fantastic customer service with them. I had a refurbished ipod that broke and I simply walked into the store and they gave me a new one, my dad has had two computers break that were no longer under warranty and took them into apple and they said no problem! And gave him new ones each time with no additional charge. If I were you I would send an email to their customer service department and let them know how displeased you were with their service, because it sounds like what you experienced was pretty sub par by Apple standards. Companies like Apple know that the electronics market is extremely competitive so offering service that stands by the quality of their products is essential to their success. Most likely they would offer you some sort of refund or at the very least some store credit for your hassle. I have emailed several companies to let them know how I feel about their products or service and this is pretty common practice. It definitely wouldn't hurt anything.

Oh my God, I have had my Roku for about a year and a half now, My parents bought this for me two Christmases ago when I moved out. I love love looooooove it. I have never even considered paying for cable. I think I recommend this to someone about once a week or so. I love how much content you have, love that I can hide it because I use my phone as my remote, so I don't have to worry about anything blocking the sensor. And even if you were going to use the remote it comes with it's so tiny and inconspicuous.

And as a heads up I had the old roku player and when I decided to buy the new one I discovered that you can get a refurbished roku for $75!! (And it still comes with a warranty!)

I totally agree with fixing the grout, this will instantly make everything look so much crisper. I would try cleaning it first, if you have to go the regrout route (ha!) I would ask that the landlord pay for the materials.

As for the color... I actually struggled with the same thing with my bathroom, I have a very inadequately lit bathroom and it was painted this horrific mauve. It looked like the color you get under your eyes after not sleeping for 72 hours. Terrible. I went with a pale blueish grey and it's amazing how much brighter and fresher everything looks. I would steer away from brown and do a cool light grey, I think it would be pretty with the salmon color and with the accent tiles. I would also do a light blueish grey for that accent wall. That brown color just looks waaay too warm next to that blue carpet and a blue grey would make things look a lot fresher. Good luck!

I have two shelties, so they are pretty much fur shedding machines. I knew this going into adopting my doggies and they are allowed to go any place in the apartment that they can. Couches, chairs, I prefer them not to get on my bed but I can't really help what happens when I leave. I know I can reduce their shedding by brushing them on a daily bases and bathing them frequently so when I don't and everything in my apartment is covered in hair I have no one to blame but myself. Why would I punish my dogs for something they have no control over?

Target has actually been a staple in the various odds and ends needed for my new apartment. I actually just bought the Shabby Chic balloon lace window panel for my bathroom and it's super duper cute. Can't wait to check out all of the new fall stuff come Sept. :)

Everything good comes to an end. I am glad that people find creative ways to use things so that they don't end up in a dump. And a broken piano with rusted parts and the bottom broken out is not an expensive piece. It may have been at one time but if it is something that is broken to the point it could no longer be used or repairing it exceeds the value of the object it SHOULD be recycled or re-purposed into something else. I don't believe in hoarding things, I find it extremely materialistic.

If the piano was beyond repair, which I see no reason why someone would tear apart a perfectly good piano, why not make it into something else that can be appreciated and used as apposed to throwing it out to rot in a landfill? Seriously, you CRIED over this piano?

Sheesh guys, what's up with the cynicism? Just because THEY made a lamp with a base you don't like doesn't mean YOU have to. Instead of acting snobby about it how about thinking of other things that you could use as a lamp base, and take the hardware info from the tutorial. Snobby snobby :P
