Thanks everyone for all of the comments! I have had a great few days reading everything- the good, the bad, the grit. Rest assured the heinous sponge has been discarded and the broom and I have switched places in the closet. Everyone is welcome for cocktails and sleepovers. PS The walls aren’t peach! They are coral. . .I may have a penchant for Mz Havisham but most certainly not Laura Ashley!
